The Internet of Things

An internet connection is a very good thing, it give us all kinds of benefits that just were not possible before. If you are old enough, think of your mobilephone before it was a smartphone. We could only call and text, but now we can read any e-book, watch any movie, or listen to any song all in the palm of our hand. And these are the just few of the incredible things which our Smartphone can do.

Connecting things to the internet makes many amazing benefits. We have seen these benefits with smartphones, laptops, and tablets, but this is true for everything else too like refrigerator, air conditioner etc.
The Internet of Things is very simple concept, it means taking all the things in the world and connecting them to the internet.

IOT Feature

The most important features of IoT are artificial intelligence, connectivity, sensors, active engagement, and small device use. A brief review of these features is given below:

Artificial Intelligence - IoT essentially makes virtually things “smart”, meaning it enhances every aspect of life with the power of data collection, artificial intelligence algorithms, and networks. This mean something as simple as enhancing your refrigerator and cabinets to detect when milk and your favorite cereal run low, and to then place an order with your preferred grocer.

Connectivity - New enabling technologies for networking, and specifically IoT networking, mean networks are no longer exclusively tied to major providers. IoT creates these small networks between its system devices.

Sensors - IoT loses its distinction without sensors. They act as defining instruments which transform IoT from a standard passive network of devices into an active system capable of real-world integration.

Small Devices - Devices, as predicted, have become smaller, cheaper, and more powerful over time.
